Nature Nurseries vs Traditional Nurseries

Barrable's 2020 study in Sustainability, "Nature Connection in Early Childhood: A Quantitative Study," provides compelling evidence for the unique impact of nature-rich environments. This quantitative study compared children attending dedicated nature nurseries with those in more traditional settings. Using a standardised "connection to nature" index across 216 children aged 1–8, the findings were clear: children in nature-focused nurseries showed significantly higher levels of nature connection.
